Referral Process
Outfitters referral process is very easy and convenient both for the person making the referral as well as the family that is being referred.
The following persons can refer a family to Outfitters:
- A schoolteacher, school administrator, guidance counselor, or school social worker
- A pastor, priest or rabbi from the family’s place of worship
- A social worker/caseworker employed at a local social service agency
- A South Madison County Township Trustee
- South Madison County police/fire department personnel
- The family may also use an Outfitters Free Lunch Voucher issued to them when they qualify for the free lunch program through the school system
Referrals will only be accepted when an Outfitters Referral Form is completed and signed by one of the persons listed above.
Families may be given an Outfitters Client Information Sheet and should be instructed to call 765-778-9097 to schedule an appointment. Families should also be told to bring their referral form with them to their appointment. No other paperwork is necessary.
Referred children may shop twice in a 12-month period for fall/winter and spring/summer clothing. Shopping for fall/winter clothing is available from August – February. Shopping for spring/summer clothing is available from April – June. A new Referral Form must be issued at the beginning of each school year.
